A little taste of what we have been up to the past few weeks. . .

I haven't blogged in quite some time. . . . life has kept me quite busy. Here is a little bit of what we have done. We celebrated Easter at home with a little easter egg hunt and getting dressed up to go to church. We had a little family get together later that day. We spent Spring Break in St. George. My parents were up in Washington at the time, but we still had a nice time and hit several parks. Windsor and Cali both had birthdays this month, and we had a little "tea party" celebration. The girls loved it.

Well, those are the high lights. .. . I will try to be better at keeping things updated. Luke as started baseball, David has been coaching track, and I have been organizing the house and working in the yard, and running errands for our business.

A little bit of color!

I was at Wal-Mart today with the girls, and noticed that they had their flowers and gardening supplies out. I thought it was time to put a little color on my back patio. I will definitely be back to get some more as the spring goes on, but for now, the colors make me happy!

good-bye glasses!

I made the plunge last week, and went in to have lasik done on my eyes. It has been a little bit of an adventure, but should be well worth it in the end. I had both eyes done last wednesday, April 1. David took the day off to drive with me. He was able to watch the whole procedure on a bit screen tv, which he thought was pretty amazing. They even made a dvd for me to watch later, which I did with Kennedy. Here I am leaving the doctor's office, with my best friend, my sunglasses! My eye sight was pretty blurry for the first 24 hrs while my eyes recovered from the procedure. I was supposed to wear these goggles to bed at night, so I didn't accidently rub my eyes in my sleep. They weren't very comfortable, but I did wear them for a few nights!

When I went in for my first follow-up the next day, my right eye was doing great and already pretty clear, but my left wasn't. It turns out I had a wrinkle on my flap on that eye, so had to go back in to have it "re-floated". I had to have that done twice on my left eye. . . what a pain. But it is now wrinkle free, and on the road to recovery. My right eye is now 20/20, and my left is almost there as well. Over all, it has been a good experience for me. I can't wait for my new life glasses and contact free! It is crazy to wake up in the morning and be able to see the clock without squinting or reaching for my glasses.

So that has been my week since last wednesday. .. lots of drives up to Sandy to the eye doctor to have my eyes checked and "re-floated" twice. I thank all my friends and family for babysitting and helping me drive when I couldn't. . . I couldn't have done it with out you.
