It's Official!

We have been pretty busy here, and our internet service is a little unreliable right now, but just wanted to announce that we have officially sold our old house, moved, and bought our new one! Exciting times around here.

Happy Birthday, Kennedy!

Kennedy turned 9 today. She woke up this morning and was anxious to open her presents. She really wanted to have a party with her friends, so we spent the afternoon celebrating with a "Poka Dot Party".

I love Kennedy. She is a really special girl and has a great group of friends that she is sad to leave when we move. We won't be far, so we will have to have some play dates at our new house!!

House update. . . . .we sign the papers to sell our house tomorrow morning, and have to be out by Sat. evening. So we have a long couple of days ahead of us. We don't close on our new house until next wednesday, so have to make special arrangements to move in a few days early, and pay "rent" for a couple of days.

so David and Luke were able to meet the seller over at the house this morning, and I assigned Luke to take pictures. Below is what he came up with. I would have taken a couple more, (like the big family room downstairs, and one of the kitchen, dining, living room together etc.). . .but he did a good job, I think. We move in around the 24th. ... I can't wait to get started on projects! I want to re do the "deck" (if you can even call it that. .. who makes a deck that small??), and put in a patio in the back, finish the bathroom downstairs, do some landscaping, etc. etc.

First week of no school. . .

So we have survived our first week with no school. It is always an adjustment for David, getting used to being home all day when school is out. We are prepping for packing (organizing, throwing things away, etc), but not packing yet. We are anxious to get started on the move, but have a few weeks to go. We wish we could get started on projects at our new house, but those will have to wait until we move. I don't have pictures of our house yet because we can't get into the house. . . so those will come later in the month.

David woke up Monday morning with an idea to have a "mama to mia" exercise every morning with the kids. So we have been doing some jogging/walking, and have also played tennis a couple times this week.

We also enjoy watching Luke play baseball. . .his team is 3-1 so far.

It feels strange not having big vacation plans, but we are saving money for our house. . . .
