Rodeo

Last night we went to the rodeo in Spanish Fork. We got there a bit early and were all dying in the heat by the time it started. Elizabeth, Eliza, Jennifer (she's due any time now. . . I'm sure the heat was the worst for her!), Ethan, Dan, and Cali trying to find some shade. All the girls like to hang all over Grandma. They all do love each other.

David and I before the rodeo started. I rarely have pictures of us together, so I had Mary take one for me. Chase, Luke, Winnie, and Kennedy. We were right above the bulls and horses, so we held on tight to our purses so they didn't fall through the bleachers! You can see Kennedy being good and holding onto mine. Mia and Elizabeth. These two whined constantly until David went and spent ten dollars for some drinks. I was thirsty too, but of course I didn't vocalize it. One of the cowboys during the bronc riding. It was interesting to see all the events. It was my first rodeo. Some of these cowboys were REALLY good.
Since it was Pioneer Day, they had firworks after the rodeo was finished. The kids liked that since we didn't go see any on the 4th. Of course the big traffic jam getting out was no fun, but we got home and had every body in bed by midnight.

Obsessed

David has realized that I can get a little obsessed over certain things. Ok, maybe A LOT obsessed. Of course it has been Twilight over the past year, and I am eagerly awaiting Breaking Dawn's release on Aug. 2. But this week it has been the musical, Wicked. I read the book last week and thought it was pretty good, but the musical seems amazing. I got the music and it has been playing constantly in our house this week. I think David thinks I am crazy or something. I guess when I find something I like, I go a little overboard. Oh, well. It doesn't help that the kids feed into my obsession as well. The girls already knew the song "Popular" from the musical and play it constantly now. I guess they share my love of musicals. I have fun memories of dancing in the kitchen with the kids to Phantom of the Opera, HairSpray, and High School Musical, of course. I can't wait to see Wicked, it comes to Salt Lake next year on tour.

This is the girls favorite, Popular. Enjoy!

Here is one of my favorites, Defying Gravity.

Family Reunion. . Bear Lake

So Cute. . . .

BUT SO DIFFICULT, AND SO TWO!

When do these "TERRIBLE" twos end? She turns three in about a month, but I think the "twos" are going to linger on. Mia has been absolutlely driving me insane lately. CRYING, SCREAMING, HITTING, RUNNING AWAY (she sneaks out of the house and I don't know where she goes), SAYING "NO" ALL THE TIME, NOT GOING TO BED, NOT POTTY TRAINED, DOESN'T LIKE OTHER PEOPLE. . . .should I go on?

I am going insane. I love this little girl, but I am getting worn out.

It's Great to be Eight!

Since Kennedy had her 8th birthday last month, she was able to be baptized on the fifth of this month. It was a nice, quiet, baptism. She was very excited about it.

Happy # 11, Luke

Luke turned 11 today. Do I really have an 11 year old? wow. Feels like yesterday we were bringing home our new baby boy to our little basement apartment in Provo. Time flies. I love this kid. He is fun to be around, and a great brother. I couldn't ask for a better son. He knows what is right and wrong, and chooses wisely. He is a great example, and has a great spirit. Have a great day, you deserve it, Luke!
