Deal seeker. . .

Those of y0u who know me at all, know that I have a hard time spending money. We are always on a budget. So I am always seeking good deals when it comes to shopping. I want good quality, but I want it at a good price. So when I got two coupons in the mail for two different stores. . . . 10$ off any purchase of 10$ or more (one from JC Penney and one from Kohls) . . . . I took advantage and ran out to the store!! I found a couple of cute things for Mia. One outfit for her to wear this summer to play in and some flip flops from Kohls. And a cute dress to wear this summer as well as a skirt that I will save for back to school next fall from JC Penney.

So what do you think of my deals?? They were on sale, plus with my coupons. .. what do you think I spent?? (I did spend money, so don't guess 0.00$!)
Oh. .. and if anyone just happens to have a coupon they aren't going to use.. . . send it my way!! I will be happy to use it for you. . . .

Good-Luck, KYLE!

We have had our nephew, Kyle, staying with us for the last few months. He left this morning to head back to school at BYU-Idado. We will miss him around here. The kids loved having him around, and we loved having him here. . .( I don't know who will eat all the left-overs in the fridge now!!)

I hope he has a great time at school and comes back to visit soon, because the house just kinda felt a little more empty today with out him. . . .

The last few days were busy for us. We arrived home from St. George Wednesday afternoon. The kids and I went out shopping Thursday afternoon. They each got a new outfit and a pair of shoes for the spring. It took us all afternoon to find something for everyone. . . but I think everyone was happy by the end of the day!

Thursday night and all day Friday was spent at the ball park watching Luke's team play baseball in a tournament. It was painful to watch. . . they didn't do very well. Tons of errors. They didn't look anything like the team we watched in St. George just a couple weeks ago. Lost all 4 of their games. But there were a few positives. .

  • Luke got to pitch in the first game for a couple innings. He was nervous, but did really well.

  • While Luke was playing catcher in one of the games, there was an amazing throw from the center fielder to home plate for an out at the plate. It was pretty awesome.
  • There was also an incredible diving catch made in the outfield by one of the other players on Luke's team. We won't talk any more about how poorly the team looked. It was a rough couple of games. Hopefully they can put this tournament behind them and get prepared for games this weekend!!
We were busy on Saturday. David worked on the downstairs bathroom. . . we are just about ready for the plumber now!! We do things slowly, but eventually they get done! (I will post pictures when it is all completed) I cleaned, did laundry, did some much needed gorcery shopping. . . . . then we went out to do some yard work. We did some weeding and then went to get a load of ground cover to put in the yard. It looks good. We still need one more load. . .hopefully later this week. I also have a few plants that I need to plant. Can you see my bulbs starting to pop up?? Should have some nice tulips in the next week or so to share!

I don't want anyone to think that I missed this important highlight of the past few weeks.. .. .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAVID!!

David turned 39 on March 28. . . . .

We celebrated all weekend long.

  • On Friday night I had David's brothers and their families over for dinner. They had a great time trying out David's birthday gift. . . . .

A PING PONG TABLE. . . . You wouldn't believe how complicated Kyle and I made it trying to put this together. . . but we did it and everyone loves it!! (Hopefully David too!)

  • On Saturday I put David's other gift up on the wall down stairs. . . .

No one will ever have to guess where our loyalties lie!!

  • We also went out Saturday night for a little dinner
  • Sunday. . . Kurt, Shannon, Bronte, Paul, and Joe stopped and visited on their way to St. George. We had Chicken Salad for dinner and had a nice visit.
  • Monday evening, the celebration continued when David and I went to dinner at. . . .

Needless to say. . . We both broke down and ate meat this night!! And I didn't feel one bit guilty!!
So David had a great birthday weekend. . . . Love you, David!

Happy Easter!

We have had a good week or so. . . here are the highlights. All in St. George!!

We were able to cross paths with the Toolsons and Eberles in St. George the past few days. We didn't see the Toolsons too long, but were still happy to spend the time together that we did!
We spent Easter weekend trying to keep the kids entertained. We took the girls to a community candy pick up. . . I won't call it an egg hunt because they didn't use eggs! They just spread candy on the grass and let the kids go at it ! It was a bit crazy, but the kids loaded up on tootsie rolls and laffy taffy. . .. so they were happy! But it did remind me why I haven't done the comminity events for that past several years! Can you see in the top right corner all the kids in the picture. This was Mia's group. Can you spot her??
Shareen carefully boiled eggs Saturday afternoon and all the kids colored and decorated some eggs. I didn't get a picture of Camille because she was so fast getting hers done!!

Sunday morning Shareen and I went out and hid candy and eggs out in my parents "back yard". It was the best spot for an egg hunt I have ever seen!! Awesome. . .

The girls had a great time playing with Camille and Anya. David got some golfing in with Kyle (and Luke went one morning as well), and he also got a bike ride in with Mike. Shareen, Mom, and I did get to sneak out Monday afternoon for some pedicures, lunch, and a bit of shopping. . . I always enjoy our walks to the water tower as well! We had a little crazy weather, wind, rain. . . but we at least missed the snow that came down in Spanish Fork!!

We drove home today to sunshine. We have the rest of Spring Break to enjoy at home now. . . .
