The kids and I made cupcakes and decorated them with some candy hearts for valentines yesterday. I let each of the kids eat one, and then took the rest of them to the church for our ward dance. And it was quite the dance! We had a big band there that played some really good "oldies" type music. All the kids had a great time dancing, and David and I even tried doing the cha-cha!
Mia isn't sure she likes dancing with Elizabeth!
Kennedy and Hunter. What a cute little couple!
Luke was pretty good at asking several girls in the ward to dance, including his mom, and his sister Kennedy. He said he danced with 8 different girls! Pretty impressive. There was a lady in the ward that said she would give the boys a candy bar for every girl they asked to dance. I guess Luke earned his.

how fun! you got some great pictures. and i love how the whole family was included.
Looks like you guys had a great time. PS - I LOVE that last picture and your commentary, too funny.
Did you guys learn the Cha-Cha from watching all the tv dance contests? And now people know the answer to the junior high dilemma of school dances with girls on one side, boys on the other - bribe with candy (or be thankful you're not prying them apart yet).
What a fun thing for your ward to do. We have a stake valentine's day dance, however the babysitters get scooped up far in advance, and we lost out. Oh well, a quiet evening at home sounds really nice. I love all the pictures, your kids are so cute. and I love that Luke asked so many girls to dance, that courage will certainly help him when he starts going to youth dance. Happy Valentine's Day!
I really wish you had video of you & Dave on the dance floor.
It looks like you all had a great time. That is a great idea for a ward activity.
Luke is going to a Romeo! Watch out!!
dancing! yeehoo! dancing is my favorite thing! what a fun idea for an activity!
Looks like you all had fun! Great that you didn't need to get a babysitter! i forgot to take pictures of our Valentines--I even make chocolate dipped strawberries that looked like little tux.
Kristie, these pictures are great... now I can see what you guys were talking about!
