Another Update

Wow. I can't believe that I haven't blogged for a couple weeks again. Life just continues to be busy busy busy for me here!
Here is the biggest reason why:
David especially has been wanting a change for a while and we have talked for over a year about when would be the right time to put the house up for sale and look for something new. I have been hesitant with the economy, but with current interest rates as they are, we decided that we should either refinance, or sell and get something else. I really thought the chances were small that we would even get someone to come look at the house, let alone make an offer. Boy was I wrong! We had several people look at the house and got an offer within the first week and a half on the market. We accepted. So my life has been turned upside down. First my life was crazy getting the house organized and presentable, and keeping it clean to show. . . now on top of that, we are looking for a new house. Exciting, but we haven't found OUR house yet. We are going to look with our realtor this afternoon.
What else have we been doing??
Well, over mother's day weekend we drove to St. George to spend a few days with my parents. We had a great time. My mom and dad both spoke in church on Sunday. I was realy glad I was able to be there to hear. They did incredible jobs. They should both save their talks to share with the rest of the family. They were that good.
Here are Elizabeth and Mia on the deck in St. George.. . . eating creamies, of course. David and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary on the 13th. We found a little time to go out for some steak at Ruby River Steakhouse. Really good. We have been very lucky to have so many good years together. Or, I shouldn't say it is luck. . .. we get along great, treat each other well, try to understand the other's feelings, no major fights, enjoy each others company etc etc.We are very happy.

I thought David looked so funny in this photo. I had to put it on.

Kennedy did a "Great Brain" project at school on Kangaroos. She presented it to her class Thursday. I was not very excited when she said she wanted to do this project. (It is not required. . . only if you want to do it, and most kids do it early in the school year. . . .not the last couple weeks of school) But Kennedy REALLY wanted to do it, and I decided that if she really wanted to do a project that bad, I should support her. So we did a lot of research on Kangaroos and put this poster together for her to share with her class.

She did a great job presenting to her class.

What else, you ask?

Well, Luke has been practicing baseball four evenings a week, we've had a jog a thon at school, I have been helping with some Trek activities for our stake (Luke will be going this summer), I attended a mother/son night with Luke for scouts, I have had to search for Elizabeth around the neighborhood and then put her on restriction, yard work, house cleaning, yelling at kids to pick up their stuff, watching american idol, going on walks, going on field trip with kennedy, keeping mia and elizabeth from fighting, running errands, book keeping, paying bills, etc, etc, you get the idea. Life is crazy. But good. Really really good. I will keep you all posted on the house hunt!

Wow, Kristie your life is very busy, but you also have a fun life.

No one was more surprised than I was when you sold your house so quick. I hope you find a new home soon that will make you excited.

WOW!!! My life seems very slow and boring compared to all that is going on in your household! I can't wait to see future posts about your NEW house. I'm curious how much your house sold for, but like i said before, I'll have to call you....that is if you have a few minutes to chat on the phone! :)

Did not know you were trying to sell. That should be an inspiration to us. Congratulations. You are definitely doing it in the right order- sell first and buy later.

Good Luck with everything. We will look forward to seeing your new digs when we come visit in 6 weeks.

That's wonderful you sold your house so fast. Like everyone, I'm excited to see what you guys end up getting. And I can't imagine keeping up with even half of what you get done.

wow, Kristie - that is huge news! Kurt asked me last night if I had seen your post, and shocked the bejeebers out of me! (It has been crazy busy here, too; but not packing-the-whole-house, tracking-down-kids busy.)
Lucky you! I know it is going to be crazy for a bit, but if you were ready to move, you are lucky that things went so quickly.
