wall mount

Saturday evening, David and his brother Jeff took the time to finally hang our tv up on the mount to the wall. It actually was quite a project. They opened up the wall so the wires would be tucked away, and discovered that there is NO insulation between the wood and the outside foundation! No wonder our basement is always so cold! We didn't have time to go get anything, but wanted to do something about it while it was exposed and our sister in law suggested stuffing it with newspaper. So half the wall is now insulated with newspaper. We need to open up the other half and do the same thing.. . .but neither one of us seem to want to get it started. Maybe half an insulated room will make a difference? But anyway, the tv looks really nice up on the wall.

Why on earth would someone build a basement without insulation? For the record, we think they did the same thing here in Chelan. Uff Da!
btw, Kurt is going to be drooling when he sees that tv... :)

just fyi shannon, that tv is about the only decent thing in our house. i am embarrassed about the quality of everything else. .. but we need to wait until Mia is over her "artistic" faze until we get anything. I have been wanting a new kitchen table for a long time, but after Mia colored on our table with a black permanent marker last week, I was glad it was just our cheap yard sale table and I didn't stress about it!

I'm so glad Mike doesn't read blogs so he doesn't get any ideas into his head. It does look nice!

Glad you got it up in time for our visit this week.
See you on Thursday. I hope it doesn't snow.

That looks great! I'm sure it will make TV & Movie watching more enjoyable. Sorry to hear about the basement not being insulated.

Love the music, Kristie! Remember driving to Vancouver for Les Mis the morning after Kurt and I got engaged? And we were running late? But thanks to Kurt's habit of driving 90 back then, we made it just fine... :)

that was my driving that got us there, Shannon. Everyone else claimed they didn't have their license. luckily I didn't kill us all!
