Saying goodbye

We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa here over the weekend. Kenendy was moping around last night trying to get them to stay a little longer. .. .but we really enjoyed the visit. The kids got to go see Horton Hears a Who after school yesterday and we enjoyed our evening out on Saturday. The Hale Center Theatre does a fantastic job with their productions. David didn't particularly care for the play, but Mom and Dad really enjoyed it, and I thought they did a really nice job as well. We've had sunshine over the past several days, so we can't complain. Mia even started to warm up to Grandpa by the end of the weekend. She would bring him a pile of books then climb up on his lap for him to read to her. She even gave him a kiss good bye today! That is saying a lot from her. She was very quiet and didn't talk much this weekend. .. I could get used to that! We love you Grandma and Grandpa, see you soon, and have a great time California with the Eberle's.

I am so glad you guys had a good visit. Looking at these pictures, I couldn't help thinking that pretty soon your kids will have Grandpa and Grandma around all the time, and the WA grandkids will be begging them to visit! We sure will miss them...but I'd say it is your turn to have them close by. :)

It is always fun to have family visit. We haven't had family here in Portland forever. Seems having had Truman would bring them here, but not so, they always want us to travel. Not so easy with a baby & all the gear. Anyway, sorry to ramble. I am sure they are going to love being closer to you.
