Thank heaven they invented DVD players in the Car! What a life saver!
Then we hit the road and thought everything was great. I was driving the van, and David was in the truck. Out of the blue, the truck died. Just stopped going and wouldn't go anymore just outside of Nampa, ID. We felt like it was deja vu of our experience in Baker, OR a few years back. We had to have a tow company come and get the truck and tow it to a shop. At this point it was Friday night at 7pm. The shop was closed and we figured there was no way we would be seen on sat, so we left the truck and hopped in the van and drove back to Utah. David talked to the guy at the shop and our feelings were right, they can't get to it until Monday. So even though we rolled in at 2 am, we are glad to we decided not to stay the night. Mom and Dad will hopefully be able to pick it up on their way through this next week and bring it the rest of the way.
So today we are busy getting things unpacked, picking up, watering the yard, mowing the grass, and cleaning this. ..
The van is filthy. No more eating in the van now that we aren't vacationing. Too many crumbs!
We are glad to be back, but it is sooo hot! We are missing the pool already!
Just thought I would post a picture of Luke and Paul playing video games. This is where they hung out a lot of the time at Chelan.I also just had to post this picture of Elizabeth. She wore her self out!

Sorry to hear about the truck, that stinks. Glad you got home safe & that you enjoyed your vacation. I love all your pictures, especially elizabeth fast asleep.
I hate the drive home after a vacation -- car (truck) troubles make it so much worse. I bet you and Dave are so tired and just want to fall asleep in a chair!
I'm glad your back safe and sound!
You guys were brave to attempt to get that truck all the way to Utah. One time, I don't remember why, I was proposing driving it from Shoreline to our house in Seattle, and both Dad and Mike freaked out like I was in for some impossible task. I hope they can fix it and Mom and Dad can get it to Utah for you.
I was glad to hear you didn't have the piano in the back of the truck! At least your long drive is over, the drive to Bear Lake now will seem fast and easy. Even with big kids I am very happy we have a DVD player in the car for our drive.
Glad you made it back safe, but sorry to hear about the truck. Your pics are great - I love the one of Mia in the car. And Paul and Luke are hilarious - I will have to get a copy of that one!
See you in a week! :)
yes, thank goodness for the dvd in the car!
what a pain with the truck.
looks like you're having a fun summer so far!
